Bruce Pinckard
Mayor
Annetta is an incorporated
municipality within the
Aledo Independent School
District located just west of
Aledo between Annetta South
and Annetta North, about 1
½ miles south of Interstate 20.
The town is 5.5 square miles of
mostly residential and agricultural
residents. The community was
established in the 1880s as a
Town of
ANNETTA
railway station and store for
buffalo hide traders and was
named for the daughter of its
founder A.B. Fraser.
Because of concerns about
extraterritorial jurisdiction by
other taxing entities, the Annetta
Community incorporated into
three different cities, Annetta,
Annetta North and Annetta
South in 1979.
