#GrowingGreatness!
We are #GrowingGreatness
in our students, staff and
community.
The growth has arrived in
Aledo ISD, and continued
increase in enrollment
provides the opportunity to
grow the foundation of greatness
established by this close-knit
community with a proud
tradition.
When you arrive in Aledo
you are greeted with the
recognizable sign along FM 1187
saying “Welcome to Bearcat
Country.” The sign says it all
and invites those living in Aledo
and surrounding communities
to experience one of the topperforming
districts in the state.
Beyond the sign, the housing
growth is apparent. In the next
five years, Aledo ISD is projected
to add more than 2,600 students.
With this rate of growth, the
district is planning for the future
and adding staff to meet the needs
of students. The district entered
the 2018-2019 with over 6,000
students and more than 700
employees.
Aledo ISD is a member of the
Fast-Growth School Coalition,
which includes districts across
the state with at least 2,500
students and have experienced
growth of at least 10 percent over
the last five years. In the next 10
years, the district’s enrollment is
projected to double to more than
12,000 students, due heavily to
the explosive growth north of
Interstate 20.
As the district enrollment
continues to grow, so do the
opportunities for students.
