PUBLIC SAFETY
East Parker County is served
by several different police
departments including Hudson
Oaks, Willow Park and the Aledo
ISD patrol officers. All other
areas depend on the professional
deputies working closely with
Parker County Sheriff Larry
Fowler to keep the peace. First
elected to serve the citizens
of Parker County in 2005,
Sheriff Fowler is a hands-on
administrator with a long list
of accomplishments in area law
enforcement. The County thinks
so highly of him that the County
Justice Center was recently
renamed the Larry Fowler Law
Enforcement Center. The sheriff
works closely with the Crime
Stoppers board of directors to
follow up on tips given by citizens
as well as assisting with National
Night Out activities throughout
the county, usually in October.
His staff also has a series of
public education programs aimed
at pre-kindergarten children
through college age adults.
These programs teach skills such
as calling 911, anti-bullying
messages, bike safety, stranger
danger and personal safety skills.
The sheriff’s office is made up
of a number of different divisions
including everything from school
resource officers to animal control
as well as the FAST or Fugitive
Apprehension Strike Team,
