Town of Annetta | Mayor Bruce Pinckard
Annetta commits to be a vibrant community
with a high standard of living that is
complemented by a unique and beautiful
natural environment that it seeks to preserve.”
Annetta is an incorporated municipality within
the Aledo Independent School District located just
west of Aledo between Annetta South and Annetta
North, about a 1 ½ miles south of Interstate 20.
The town is 5.5 square miles of mostly residential
and agricultural residents. The community was
established in the 1880s as a railway station and
store for buffalo hide traders and was named for the
daughter of its founder A.B. Fraser.
Because of concerns about extraterritorial
jurisdiction by other taxing entities, the Annetta
Community incorporated into three different cities,
Annetta, Annetta North and Annetta South in 1979.
With a solid Comprehensive Plan, ordinances
and development regulations are continuously
being tailored to coincide with the Town’s Vision
Statement. The Town of Annetta is planning for
the growth that continues to come to our area.
Annetta is not only home to white tailed deer
and Rio Grande turkeys, but is the home of the
beautiful Split Rail Golf Course, the Annetta
United Methodist Church and the historic Annetta
Cemetery.
