The signs around the Aledo community tell the
story. Painted with the district’s recognizable
orange and black colors and trademark A logo,
the slogan “#GrowingGreatness” has captured this
tradition-rich town.
While Aledo ISD continues its rapid student
enrollment growth, so does the cultivating of
greatness through outstanding academics, fine arts
and athletics. The district includes one Bearcat
mascot for all campuses in a public school district
that strives to produce exceptional experiences for
students and empower learners for life.
Aledo ISD has 10 campuses including five
elementary schools – Coder, McCall, Stuard,
Vandagriff and Walsh. Elementary School #6 is
scheduled to open its doors to students in August
2021 and will be located on FM 5 on the southwest
side of the district. The elementary campuses serve
Bearcats in grades kindergarten-5th grade. Coder
Elementary also offers a pre-kindergarten program.
Additional campuses include McAnally Intermediate
(6th grade), Aledo Middle School (7-8th grades),
