Explosive growth in Parker County has continued
with the county predicted to be one of the 10
fastest growing counties in the State of Texas
between now and 2030. With more employers
moving their businesses west the markets for real
estate and retail are booming. Weatherford ISD is
now a Class 6A district – the largest classification in
the state – and Aledo ISD is a 5A district.
Cities and the school district have raced to build
facilities and infrastructure to keep up with demand,
with two new players on the scene – Walsh and
Morningstar – dramatically changing the game in the
eastern part of the county.
Aledo ISD will take the brunt of the growth.
AISD is expected to more than double in enrollment
in the next ten years and there are more than 10,000
lots planned for the future. Rooftops are coming –
and quickly.
The biggest player in east Parker County is Walsh,
which upon buildout will be the largest planned
development in the county. Walsh is located off I-30
in the far eastern part of the county. In addition
to retail, commercial, and medical, at buildout,
Walsh will be home to over 15,000 families and a
population of nearly 50,000 residents.
Morningstar will build out to 2,100 lots on 740
acres, with all students feeding into Aledo ISD.
Morningstar offers the best in resident amenities
while maintaining and enhancing the land’s natural
beauty. Morningstar features acres of open green
spaces filled with native wildflowers, manmade lakes
and streams that run throughout the community and
surround a palatial community center. Morningstar’s
amenity center and clubhouse is complete with
resort-style pools for kids and adults, cabanas, play
yards and a lakeside amphitheater. Residents will
enjoy two-and-a-half miles of hike and bike trails
that wind along creeks lined with large mature trees
and natural landscape. In Willow Park, Meadow
Place has a total of 134 lots with over 50 homes
occupied. Just down the street, The Reserves at
Trinity will feature 97 single family lots and 110
townhomes.
“The Bluffs”, a new planned development in the
Parks of Aledo neighborhood, will start building by
late fall of 2020 and will have 202 new homes and
