Pappy Thompson Public
Service Award: Presented to
an individual in public service,
who has given up their time and
resources unselfishly to better
our community. To qualify this
individual must be a current or
retired member of the military, a
government worker who provides
services for the protection of the
public. LtCol Thompson was a
founding member, former mayor
and long-time resident of Hudson
Oaks. LtCol Thompson honorably
served in the United States Air
Force retiring after twenty-nine
years’ service. He was also a
member of the Masonic Lodge.
Nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable
organization: Presented to a
nonprofit organization that has
made a positive impact in Parker
County.
Businessperson of the Year:
Presented to a businessperson who
illustrates outstanding business
practices in Parker County. This
individual should demonstrate
an increase in sales, job growth,
overcoming adversity and
contributing to the community
and/or chamber in a positive way.
Entrepreneur of the Year:
Presented to an individual who
successfully launched a new
business in 2021. This individual
should demonstrate success in
sales and profits, job growth, and
contributing to the community
and/or chamber in a positive way.
Business of the Year:
Presented to a business or
organization who has seen success
in their business. Candidates
must exhibit exceptional customer
service, excellent employee
relations, community and/or
chamber involvement.
