Annetta commits to being a vibrant community with
a high standard of living that is complemented by
a unique and beautiful natural environment that
we all want to preserve. Residents come from a variety of
backgrounds but have a single desire to maintain a quiet,
peaceful, and beautiful community to raise a family and
enjoy life.
Annetta is an incorporated municipality in the heart of
East Parker County located South of Interstate 20 and just
to the West of Aledo. The entire town resides in the highly
desirable Aledo Independent School District. Annetta is 5.5
square miles of mostly residential and agricultural properties.
The Annetta community grew up in the 1800s around a train
station and store used by buffalo hide traders and farmers. It
was named after the daughter of its founder, A.B. Fraser.
Because of concerns about extraterritorial jurisdiction by
other taxing entities, the Annetta Community incorporated
into three different cities, Annetta, Annetta North and
Annetta South in 1979.
Annetta has a solid Comprehensive Plan, ordinances, and
development regulations that all align with the Town’s Vision
Statement. The Town of Annetta is planning for the growth
that continues to come to our area. Annetta is the home
of Split Rail Golf Course, Stuard and Annetta Elementary
Schools, the Annetta United Methodist Church, and the
Historical Annetta Cemetery. It is also the home to white
tailed deer, Rio Grande turkey and the Monarch Butterfly on
their migration path.
Every July, the Town of Annetta reinforces in pledge to
remain a “Monarch Butterfly Way Station.” By instituting a
